Weekend and some readings

Happy first day of Spring!!!!!! Yes, I'm still reading Foxfire: Confessions of a Girl Gang by Joyce Carol Oates. I love this writer, but I can't catch up with everything she writes, she is so prolific. I was doing fine with this book, then I made my usual mistake: I went to the public library and now I have a huge book to finish and two other books to read(see down below). The huge book is Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel. shotgun lovesongs One of the books I read in the last couple of weeks is Shotgun Lovesongs by Nickolas Butler. I'm still not sure why I liked this book, the story is interesting, but not eclatant. Maybe there was something about the atmosphere, I don't know. everyday is for the thief I read this book in two days, and only because I had things to do. I really like the way Teju Cole describes things and tells a story. This is not his second book, I think it was first published in Africa in 2007, if I'm not mistaken. If you are intrigued by this author, you can also read Open City, I really loved that book. Have a nice weekend, I'm off to my hometown to meet my aunt's new dog, eat lots of food and make a trip to the mountains!
