Books in my hands - Recently loved

In the past few months my reading habits have slowed down very much. I think it's a combination of books that aren't right for me plus my mind is elsewhere. But I managed to read something and I fell in love with a couple of books.

Aristotele and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, Benjamin Alire Saenz
A story about growing up, finding friendship, ourself and the first love. I don't have many words for this book, it's just so amazing. It had been a really long time since I read a book as good as this one.

La più Amata, Teresa Ciabatti
Just for the Italian readers, I'm sorry, but it's too good not to put this book in this list. Everyone that I know who read this book finished it in a couple of times, me included. A family story, a story through some decades of Italian history. A story about a girl and how she managed to grow up in a very particular family.
Once upon a time, I used to be able to find a book that could really talk to me and to sit there until I'd finish it, but these days it's more difficult. But for this book I've made an exception and I forced myself to sit at my chair and read and read until I was at the end. I didn't have a choice, it was too good.

The Name of the Wind, Patrick Rothfuss
With this one I'm cheating a little bit: while I'm writing this post, I haven't finished yet. My story with this book is quite long, I've had it in my reading list for months, maybe years, finally, last fall, I started to read it, but I wasn't sure or I just was too busy, I don't remember. So I started it again in January, but still, it wasn't the right time and now it's finally its moment. As I said before, I still have to finish it, but I know I will like it until the end.
I can't say that I have a favourite genre to read, and I also can't say that I have a particular genre that I don't like to read, but I have certain kinds of books that I like to read in certain times of the year. For example, during the hot months, I like to read crime stories or fantasy books and The Name of the Wind is just perfect.
